Indirect dark matter searches at ultrahigh energy neutrino detectors

چکیده

High to ultrahigh energy neutrino detectors can uniquely probe the properties of dark matter $\chi$ by searching for secondary products produced through annihilation and/or decay processes. We evaluate sensitivities thermally averaged cross section $\langle\sigma v\rangle$ and partial width into neutrinos $\Gamma_{\chi\rightarrow\nu\bar{\nu}}$ (in mass scale $10^7 \leq m_\chi/{\rm GeV} 10^{15}$) next generation observatories like POEMMA GRAND. show that in range $ 10^7 10^{11}$, space-based Cherenkov have advantage full-sky coverage rapid slewing, enabling an optimized observation strategy focusing on Galactic center. also ground-based radio such as GRAND achieve high duty cycles quiet areas. compare experiments with existing constraints from IceCube updated 90\% C.L. upper limits using results Pierre Auger Collaboration ANITA. 10^{11}$ GRAND10k will improve sensitivity particle factors 2 10 over limits, whereas GRAND200k this two orders magnitude. In $10^{11} 10^{15}$, POEMMA's fluorescence mode unprecedented properties. Finally, we highlight importance uncertainties related distribution halo, latest fit estimates parameters.

Indirect Searches for Kaluza-klein Dark Matter∗

In this talk, we discuss the potential for the indirect detection of Kaluza-Klein dark matter using neutrino telescopes and cosmic positron experiments. We find that future kilometer-scale neutrino telescopes, such as IceCube, as well as future experiments capable of measuring the cosmic positron spectrum, such as PAMELA and AMS-02, will be quite sensitive to this scenario. Current data from th...

Indirect Searches for Neutralino Dark Matter

There is mounting evidence for dark matter in the Universe and one of the favourite dark matter candidates is the neutralino, which naturally appears as the lightest supersymmetric particle (LSP) in many supersymmetric extensions of the standard model. The neutralino has the desired properties to be a good dark matter candidate and we will here review the different indirect searches for neutral...

Indirect dark matter searches: A mini-review

Weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs) still arguably provide the leading hypothesis for the nature of the elusive cosmological dark matter. In astrophysical regions of high dark matter density, these particles would self-annihilate with rather high rates; trying to spot the annihilation products in cosmic rays of various kinds therefore provides a way, in principle, of indirectly detecti...

Testing Dark Matter with Neutrino Detectors

Neutrinos are the least detectable Standard Model particle. By making use of this fact, we consider dark matter annihilations and decays in the galactic halo and show how present and future neutrino detectors could be used to set general limits on the dark matter annihilation cross section and on the dark matter lifetime.
